I'm heeeere!

It was an extra humid 84 degrees when we got in at midnight last night. I'm so grateful to have made it safely here! It only took 27 hours. I learned that, after spending 13 hours Friday getting my hair braided, a 14-hour flight ain't nothin'!

Here's a great thing: When testing out the living room TV, we found that the Michael Jackson tribute was on, live from LA. I didn't get to watch the whole thing; I hoped that Wayne was taping it.

This morning, though, in the gym, which is more like a sauna with some dumbells and a stairmaster in it, I caught some more of the Tribute on replay!... It was moving, but could have done without some of the "selections" from artists.

::It's 8:50 am on Wed 7/8 and Jennie and I just found out that we have a "rest day" until 2pm. Leave it to our HR team back in the US NOT to tell us this.... Oh, did I mention that they hadn't paid for our apartment either?:: (I'm already complaining?!)

Fortunately, we're going to make the most of it and go find a good foot massage. Just call me "Miss Saigon" (thanks for that one, Dad)

HAPPINESS IS WAKING UP IN VIETNAM TO THE REV. AL SHARPTON SPEAKING.

No internets in the room yet. Will keep y'all posted. Promise to take pics and return with more descriptions.

  1. Glad ya reach safely. Hope all is well. The MJ tribute was moving. You will ball when you see Paris Jackson talking. Enjoy your rest day. Stay away from that blue magic....become your own name brand.

  2. LOL..."Blue Magic" You might have to be Frank Lucas out on those streets to pay your Rent if Reebok doesn't take care of it. j/k

Glad you made it there safely, and that they worked in some rest for you gals. That schedule was sounding ridiculous.

Like Kim said, the MJ Tribute was definately "sooo sincere" Brook Shields and little Paris brought a tear, hopefully you'll be able to catch the rest soon.

    Later Deeds!...lol

  3. DOn't forget to get that good hair! Nah...forreal I am happy you made it and look forward to hearing about your adventures in 'nam.

I watched a little of the MJ tribute at the shop yesterday. Shed a tear at the end of Brook Shields...Felt like I had seen all of the never seen before footage montage, which was interesting, because I remember a time when we felt like we were inches away from being MJs kids... lol Paris was touching, but it is strange that the kids are really white, like not even a mixed strand of hair. And makes me wonder did MJ have any bio-kids, was he the 50 yr old virgin? Amazing! He will forever be a mystery...

Miss ya already Sis... But I am happy you are following your heart's passion and getting to travel with it. [umm & hair, lots of it!]

I pray that all goes well, that your hair doesn't frizz toooo much with the humidity, and that you learn a bunch of stuff about a different culture and different way of life! Take lots of pics, stay healthy, and I can't wait to read your bloggies! Talk to you girls soon!!!
